What is Sota Promotions?

Sota Promotions is a participation platform. We design and build the programs customers actually take part in: sales promotions, instant win games and memberships, running on a platform dedicated to your brand. Participation creates a deeper attachment than messaging alone: customers who come back, buy again and stay. It is the same platform that powers Motor Culture Australia and its 600,000+ members.

Is Sota a loyalty platform?

No. We build customer loyalty, but we do not sell a loyalty program. Points and discounts on their own create transactions, not attachment. Sota builds the participation loyalty actually comes from: promotions customers enter, games they play and memberships they join. Loyalty is the outcome, not the product.

How is Sota different from a customer engagement platform?

Customer engagement platforms like Insider or Braze orchestrate communication: messages, journeys and personalisation. That works, and Sota runs alongside those tools rather than replacing them. Sota operates a level deeper. Instead of optimising the messages around a transaction, we give customers something to take part in: promotions they enter, games they play, memberships they hold. A deeper level of engagement and attachment, beyond the transaction, measured in repeat purchase rather than open rates.

What is the relationship between Sota and Motor Culture Australia?

Motor Culture Australia runs on Sota, and it is our proof. Sota was built and proven inside MCA first: 600,000+ members, around 90% repeat customers, and over $40M in prizes awarded to 1,000+ verified winners since 2020. Everything we offer other brands was earned running that business at scale, where MCA remains the platform's largest live deployment.

Who runs everything once it's live?

Your team runs the program day to day. Campaigns, offers and the customer relationship stay in your hands. Sota manages the platform underneath it: the infrastructure, the tech stack, reliability and updates, with ongoing optimisation as the program matures, so your effort goes into bringing customers back rather than maintaining the machine.

How does trade promotion compliance work?

Compliance is what lets you run promotions that drive repeat purchase without regulatory risk. The platform is built from the ground up for it, not retrofitted: certified random number generation, fully auditable draws and records, and permits mapped with you for every market, across Australian jurisdictions and on a global scale. Entries and plays are always earned through purchase or action, never sold.

Does Sota integrate with our existing systems?

Yes. Our own software team engineers each engagement into your stack, with integrations including Klaviyo, Shopify Plus, Salesforce and your own APIs.
